When you're listening, Orbit holds opens audio session and listens for the wake word “Orbit.” It won’t record any audio until you've woken it up.

Is Orbit always listening?Privacy

No. Orbit only listens for the wake phrase locally on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere until you say "Hey Orbit" or tap the bar. When you do speak to it, the question and the relevant transcript snippet are processed in our cloud, kept long enough to answer, and discarded.
